23/08/09 Marick Louise and Beth to Play with Jason McNiff

After having some really nice Music together at a gathering in west Wales we have decide together and do a gig together in Bath. Jason is a superbly talented singer and songwriter as well as a beautiful guitarist. His album received 4 stars in Mojo magazine. We will be joined by an old Band mate of Maricks Andy Drummond on Piano (Who played on Jason's album) More news on the date very soon

22/08/09 Inu to perform with Port Erin

Our good freinds Port Erin have asked us to do a gig with them. Port Erin are a Psychedelic Rock band with a beautifully subtle approach.

The plan is that we will do a set then they will one then we shall play a tune or two together. We are really excited to be invited to do a collaboration of this nature. More details to follow

21/08/09 Rural arts Wiltshire dates announced

The dates for the rural arts wiltshire tour have now been announced. The venue details will be added to the gig list shortly

 

18/08/09 Beth plays Womad with Peter Gabriel for a headlining slot

Thats right Beth was asked to play onstage for the headling gig at this years Womad festival with the Sledgehammer himself.

Tragic news! Cris and Nel's house burnt down! Benefit gigs to be announced soon

We are all still in Shock about this one.

Our new Guitarist Cris and his wife Nel and 18 month old Child Marko has had the boat they lived in burnt down in what is looking with certainty an arson attack! The were in the boat at the time and escaped with only minutes before the whole boat went ablaze. Luckily they are ok but they are now homeless and have lost nearly all of there posessions, including all of their baby stuff, clothes most of their instruments.

The music communities of Bath and Bristol will be pulling together to perform a series of benefit gigs to raise some money in an effort to help them rebuild their lives. We hope that the community will support these. So far the Line up for these gigs will include Inu, Malarchy, James Fagan, Nancy Kerr and Rob Harbron,Alan Burton, Leon Hunt the RSVP Bhangra band, the Mandibles, the Soap Dodgers, Amadou Daignéand many more to be announced.

Komedia Show a sell out!

Our gig with Seth Lakeman at Komedia in Bath was a huge success with all 650 tickets being sold and us being very well received by everyone. A huge thanks to everone who came to see us and a big thanks to Jan Ayers from SNG promotions for having us.

Rural arts Wiltshire dates to be announced very soon.

We have been accepted on the Rural arts Wiltshire touring scheme, which will be taking us to many vilage halls around Wiltshire. the dates will be announced very soon

Cris Piersné to Join Inu

We've now been joined by the Guiarist and Mandolin player from Malarchy to expand our Line up. He has now done several gigs with us and has been really well received by the band and audiences alike. We are looking forward to doing more gigs as a 6 peice very soon

Full band to support Seth Lakeman at Komedia;

It is now confirmed the whole band will now be supporting Seth Lakeman at Komedia Bath on wednesday June 3rd. We are really pleased about this and it's looking like a sell out show all ready so grab a ticket while you can.

Marick Louise and Beth to support Seth Lakeman at Komedia Bath: Seth Lakeman is a fellow west country artist who has brought folk music to whole new audience since being nominated for a mercury music prize. we have been asked support him at Bath's prestigeous new venue that has been very supportive to folk Music, details and a link to book tickets are on our gig list

17/04/2009 New Gig Dates announced:

We are pleased to announce our next run of dates.

We are playing at Chippenham folk festival and the Bath fringe festival in May, The manor folk moot festival in June, and in September  the Burnham on sea folk festival and the Chapel arts centre in Bath. Check our gig list for more details.

We have just had a quiet period with Mike and Breda moving to Coventry and Marick and Louise having a Baby. We are planning to get very active again now as we are itching to get out and play again so come back often. We are currently booking for the Autumn of 2008 and Spring/Summer 2009. 27/06/2008 Inu's Album Launch:

We launched our debut Album "The Thousand Mile Journey" at the Bath Folk Club to an Audience of over 100 people. It was the first gig we had done for almost a year and we were really pleased with the success of the Set and the Support we had. We rarely get to play in our home town these days so it was a real pleasure to see so many old friends and make many new ones. We are hoping to play in Bath again during our Autumn tour.

06/04/2008 The Launch of the Bath Folk Club a Huge Success:

The First night went beyond are greatest expectations. We had a session, an open Mic slot, a Guest Act and a band that were all of the Highest Quality. It was really good to see all the really hard work paid off. Everybody had a great time, and we hope to biuld on this as time goes on. 28/03/2008 Inu's Debut Album "The Thousand Mile Journey" Launch Date Announced







We are pleased to announce the Launch of our album back in Bath were the band was formed. we will be performing at the newly formed Bath folk Club where the new album will be available. We really hope to make this a big party with as many people as possiblecoming. we hope to see all our friends old and new from the Area, and hope to have a big sesion with everyone to top it off. 01/02/2008 Inu Going to Germany







We are planning a tour to Germany hopefully in August. We have an agent who is interested and we are really looking forward to visiting somewhere new. We'll keep you filled in as this develops

01/02/2008 Bath Folk Club to Start.

Marick and Lou have been very busy behind the scenes putting together the Bath Folk Club. The first Date has been announced. We will be having the awseome band Crucible to kick it off and a double treat with James Fagan and Nancy Kerr also doing a set. We hope to make this very special with an event every month with guest Dancers and Musicans. We've created a page to keep you informed. Just click the link at the top.

15/01/2008 New Album "The Thousand Mile Journey" Almost finished.

Well it's been a long time but we are now just putting the finishing touch's to our debut album. It has been delayed by Marick and Louise having a baby and Mike and Breda Moving to Coventry. Keep looking in as we will be announcing the Launch party dates very soon. We are planning a Launch in Bath and in North Cork and a possible party in the Coventry Leicester Area with a tour to follow soon after.
